The Crucial Arts Documentary Film SeriesThe Crucial Arts Documentary Film Series is an ongoing monthly series that was created for the purpose of presenting critical issues to the community via the artistry of today's film/video social commentators, our documentary filmmakers. It is our goal to present alternative perspectives to these critical issues. Workshops and symposiums augment the series. The series features the work of local, NYC metro area filmmakers. The Crucial Arts Summer Documentary Film FestivalThe Summer Documentary Film Festival focuses on documentary films that share a similar theme. Each summer, at least two to four films are screened as part of the festival. The Crucial Arts Student Film ShowcaseThe Crucial Arts Student Film Showcase celebrates the work of local high school and college students by creating an annual showcase of their films. It is also a networking event as industry insiders and members of the film community are invited to attend. The Crucial Arts 'Associate Producer' Fiscal Sponsorship ProgramThe Crucial Arts ‘Associate Producer’ Fiscal Sponsorship Program was created in order to provide production support to documentary filmmakers. Filmmakers apply directly to the program. Program benefits include: fiscal sponsorship, access to discount goods and services, production staffing assistance, grant writing assistance, graphic design services, and screenings of their finished projects. Crucial Arts receives a small fee and an Associate Producer credit. Crucial Arts is currently taking submissions for its upcoming monthly Documentary Film Series. See SUBMISSION FORM for more information.
